So if you want to have a fast track rise to super success as a band, it helps to have a few of the following; at least one brilliantly catchy but credible song, a support slot for a massive band on a sell-out tour and for a large multinational company to use your song in one of their adverts... Step forward The Big Pink whose recent single 'Dominos' has been on repeat for days at Phamous towers, with soaring riffs, heavy drum beats in all the right places and an infectious chorus, it is most certainly a hit made to take them to the masses. Their debut album 'A Brief History of Love' was released last month, and according to Milo Cordell (the other half of the band being Robbie Furze) the album encompasses "every different aspect of love... The good, the bad, the boring, the exciting, the dreams, the nightmares, the whole thing." With 'Dominos' being the stand out track, the album as a whole has a big and wide angle sound, if the Stone Roses, U2, Kasabian and The Klaxons were all put in a blender the juice that was served up would be The Big Pink. Global giant Microsoft has used 'Dominos' for their new X Box 360 advert so their ascent will be undoubtedly smoother and swifter over the next few months. Slotting the last piece of the success puzzle into place, Muse recently confirmed The Big Pink as their support act for their sell-out UK arena tour, life is looking pretty rosy for The Big Pink...
